48 Hours of Family
We just spent a fun, family filled weekend in Charlotte. Ollie got to see all his cousins, aunts and uncles and a set of grandparents.

Park Life
The nearest beach is 6.5 hours away and when your kid is begging you to go to the beach daily, you gotta figure out something. Thankfully the park has a volleyball court. It's kinda like the beach, right??
Ollie loves the sand! I can't wait to go on our beach vacation in September. He's gonna have so much fun on a real beach.
It's not the ocean, but it's a good place to wash off the sand
Time to dry off
Think he has to pee :-)Tuesday, July 22, 2014
Scenes from the Weekend
Pizza at Appalachian Mountain Brewery
Playing giant Jenga with Daddy
And they all fall down
The brewery is really kid friendly. Out back is a great play area...big open patio, giant stacking blocks and food on demand via a wood fired pizza truck. We love the brewery!
Sunday. A tasty quesadilla lunch at Black Cat Burrito
A typical Boone Town hippie street fair
Sunday afternoon we tested out Ollie's new rocket ballon toy
There was a little bit of a learning curve, but we eventually got the ballons to go pretty high. Ollie enjoyed it, so that's all that mattered.

Marsha's House
Ollie always has so much fun when he goes over to Mrs Marsha's house.
The best part about Mrs Marsha's house is riding the tractor

Flat Top Fun
Banner Elk's one and only brewery had their grand opening party over the 4th of July weekend. So we decided to go out and support local business and celebrate.

Happy 4th Everyone!
We couldn't have asked for a better 4th of July. Perfect weather, awesome parade, delicious cookout and of course plenty of fun with our family and friends!
Then trying out the view from the tailgate. Better view, but just not close enough
That's much better...in the street with daddy
Ollie anxiously waiting for the parade to begin
Peeking over a row of chairs, still can't see anything
Grammy's turn
They saved the best thing for last. A fleet of all kinds of fire rescue vehicles and fire trucks
Walking hand in hand with Grammy and DeDat to the park. Lots of post parade activities in the park
Ollie just wanted to slide
Grillin and chillin at our 4 th of July cookout :-)
What better way to wrap up the day than with an ice cream treat
Thanks Grammy and DeDat for joining us in all the festivities and hosting a yummy cookout! Hope everyone had a great 4th of July!
