Pumpkin Patch

Valle Crucis has a new pumpkin patch farm this year and we had so much fun checking it out.

Table Rock Ultra

Gary has been training since the end of spring and all summer for this 50K, that's 31 miles guys.  The race took place outside of Morganton, NC which is just right down the mountain from us. Even though I didn't race I was there as the supportive wife and I had a lot fun.

Then we went to pick up some carbs for dinner at Moondog Pizza...biggest pizza ever

The race started and finished at Steel Creek Campground, which is where we camped out that night.

So what did I do while Gary was out running all day?  I enjoyed camplife, relaxing a little bit that morning. Then I volunteered at one of the aid stations and got back mid afternoon just in time to watch the runners start coming in and crossing the finish line.

Oktoberfest

Once again we enjoyed Sugar Mountain's Oktoberfest. It's such a fun fall event.

A Little QT in the QC

We love getting to spend time with our family in Charlotte. 

Caroline, Ollie and Wells really know how to have a good time. Love these sweet cousins!

Thank you Wells and Caroline for having us and playing with us all weekend! A big thanks to Wells, for letting Ollie sleep in his room with him and being so sweet to him when he woke up in the middle of the night and early in the morning. Ollie really looks up to Wells, he felt so special getting to be a big boy.
