The Circuit

Ollie has really gotten into a whole bunch of activities.  These are a few of his favorites he enjoys doing around the house.  We call it his daily activity circuit.

Sitting up all by himself in his Bumbo seat! I love this thing, he'll be sitting up on his own in no time!
Kicking, grabbing and rolling around in his play gym.  This activity might be his favorite because he can play music.  He goes crazy kicking that keyboard making all kinds of sounds!

Then we usually wrap it up with some tummy time.  Ollie hasn't always been a huge fan of tummy time, but he's getting better.  He likes using that cushion for a little leverage.

Bye Bye Paci

Ollie found his thumb this week

I think we'll still hold on to the paci for a little while, just for back up.  So far he seems pretty happy with just having his thumb.  Which is great, because now he's in control!

Weekend Fun

Friday we went over to our friend Jackson's house for a playdate with some of Ollie's little buddies.  We hung out all afternoon, watched a little movie, had some lunch, but mostly just rolled around on the floor.
Ollie and Josiah were trying to get their friend Jackson to come play with them on the floor, but Jackson didn't feel like leaving his mom much that day.

Rolling around with his buddy Josiah

Saturday we ran all kinds of errands trying to get everything done before the snow storm started and Ollie wanted to take a stroll at the park, because he knew he wouldn't be able to get out for a few days.
Finally fell asleep! Mom got a great workout that afternoon!

O all bundled up in his snowsuit!  So cute!

Hanging Out with Daddy

Ollie misses his daddy all day long while he's at work.  His face lights up when Gary walks in the door and he's so excited to have him home.
Catching up and chatting about their day
Napping on the couch, one of their favorite things to do together on the weekends

 We're Prego!!!!

June 27, 2011
It's a Boy!!!  Gary and I were thrilled that we were having a boy!

The summer before Ollie was born Gary and I did a lot of things, enjoying our last months before baby arrived...

We did a fun run/walk on Beech Mtn called A Cool 5

3.5 months prego...After the race with our dog Pungo

We went on a relaxing beach vacation to the Outer Banks

Having fun hanging out on the beach

6 months pregnant with baby Ollie, hanging out with pungo after a swim.  Ollie loved the ocean, he was always kicking around while I was swimming

Gary was Pungo's spotter while she floated around in the ocean on her back, she did that most of the time instead of swimming. I think she might have even fallen asleep being relaxed by the rolling waves

Since we went to the beach at the end of July, it was HOT! So being 6 months prego, I spent some time relaxing inside with the AC blasting.  The dogs seemed to like that idea.

September and early October finally rolled around and we bought a house!
 Starting to move in
Our house needed some minor renovations before it was live in ready.  A huge thanks to Gary for spending every extra minute he had fixing up the house!  A huge thanks to Big G for all his demolition duties and painting expertise! A huge thanks to Brenda for packing up our old house while I sat there and watched everything.  9 months pregnant isn't the best time to move if anyone expected me to help out much!  Gary's parents were a lifesaver in helping us move, we really couldn't have done it without them.  Thank You!!!

Happy Halloween
All moved in and counting down til due date, 15 days left!  Just an FYI, my mom wore this pumpkin costume when she was pregnant with me.

Welcome Ollie James Smith

It's Time For An Upgrade!

Ollie is growing so fast! He'll be 3 months old in just over a week and at our last Dr appt he weighed 13lbs and 10oz and was 24 inches long.  All his clothes were starting to get a little snug.  I went through his closet and his dresser drawers and packed up all his little clothes.  I even cried a little bit thinking about how little he used to be and how fast he's growing up. So this weekend we went on a little shopping spree...

Shopping at the cosignment store in Hickory, just a few selections that Ollie had picked out before he fell asleep.

Just one of many new outfits Ollie got this weekend.  I love shopping for him! He looks so cute in everything!
