Library Mondays

On Mondays Ollie likes to go downtown to the library for story time. This outing actually involves several activities. The library has two train tables and a Lego table, so we have to get there 30 minutes before story time even begins in order to play Legos and trains. Story time is a combination of silly songs, snuggles with the stuffed animals, 3 or 4 educational tales, usually followed up with some crafts and a little coloring.

Fun cousin time in Charlotte

Ollie and I went to Charlotte to visit Aunt Katy, Uncle Matt, Wells and Caroline for a few days.

Maybe Ollie wishes he had an older brother, because he was pretty much obsessed with Wells. Following him around and trying to do whatever He was doing. Ollie tackled, hugged and snuggled Wells almost every chance he got. He tried to show some love to Caroline, but she wasn't as tolerant of it as Wells. I could just imagine Caroline thinking, "ugh, these two boys wrestling and rolling around, so annoying." Anyways, watching these three play was so sweet! Thank you guys for having Ollie and I for a visit. We had such a great time! Thanks for everything! Can't wait to see y'all again soon!

Another day out in the garden

We have decided to plant a vegetable garden this spring in hopes of having a bountiful late summer harvest! Along with our garden we plan to have some chickens, so we can have those tasty fresh eggs. Ollie is a good little helper. He helped Dada make some progress on the chicken coop and helped me plant some onions.

Ollie the builder

Ollie is very interested in what his "Dada" is up to these days. He wants to be all up in the mix of things, as always. So last weekend he helped "Dada" frame up our soon to be chicken coop. Needless to say, these two guys are very cute together.

One of Ollie's new favorite things, throwing rocks into the creek. A few shots of his throwing skills...he's very proud of himself when he makes a big splash.

More Teepee Fun

Ollie's loves his Teepee! The other day he invited me in to play and show me his collection of sticks, rocks, grass and whatever else he could get his hands on.

Teepee Time

So we've been wanting to build Ollie a Teepee for awhile, just wanted a cool design idea. So, thanks to google, Pinterest and Gary's creativity we finally got it together. This thing is so cool, Ollie loves it! A big thank you to Gary for constructing something that Ollie will enjoy for a long time.

Springtime at the park

We went to enjoy the nice spring weather at Banner Elk Park. We are so lucky to have 2 great parks close by the house. Ollie enjoyed at little swing time, his favorite, some hide and seek and just walking around the park. It was so nice out and we had so much fun, Ollie crashed out the minute we got in the car.

Ollie and Pungo

Ollie loves our dog, Pungo. He likes all the dogs, but Pungo is definitely his favorite. He loves to cuddle and hug her all the time. These two are really cute together!

More fun at Wyatt's house

Ollie and Wyatt had a great play date earlier this week. The boys played in the sandbox, did some sidewalk chalk drawings and checked out Wyatt's new playhouse. Then they wrapped it all up with a tasty lunch!
