A Send Off to Ski Season

To celebrate a great ski season we did a couple of things to bring winter sports to an end...

The Last Snow, Hopefully

Before March was over we got hit with more cold and snow. You'd think by March 29th we'd be well on our way to spring. But no, not at all....just another snowy, cold and windy weekend.  So, we tried to make the best of it

We ventured out to play/eat the snow. You can only stay out so long before you're freezing.  That led to creative ways in trying to entertain Ollie inside.

Diy Kitchen Makeover

This weekend we had a totally unplanned and impromptu kitchen renovation/update. We have big plans for our little house and a kitchen makeover was included. There was a stovetop we've been keeping an eye out for and ended up finding it on sale at Lowes Saturday morning. It was a deal too good to pass up, so the quite weekend at home became a full weekend in the kitchen.

Fun with Bubble

Ollie's Bubble came to visit for a few Days, also known as Bubbie to her other grandchildren, but Ollie seems stuck on Bubble. I think it's gonna stick. Anyways, we did lots of fun stuff during Bubble's visit.

We walked around downtown and went into some shops. 

Had to sit with our buddy, Doc Watson. Local Bluegrass legend in Boone. Ollie wanted to show him the new truck that Bubble just bought him at The Mast Store. 

We took Bubble to Appalachian Mountain Brewery for happy hour and snacks

Job Site

Ollie loves it when Daddy takes him to a job site. They make a boys afternoon of it...truck ride, checking out heavy machinery and making sure everything is in order on the job site. 

Ollie got to sit in the bull dozer. I'm sure it was the highlight of his day.
