Wagon Wheelin at the Park

I'm not sure why we never thought to take Ollie's wagon to the park before??? Miles of paved walkways to push his wagon around equals one happy kiddo. A reminder that at our house its hills and gravel roads, not the easiest for him to push on. So, we took the wagon to the park and now we can't leave home without it. Ollie LOVES to push his wagon around!

Yes, we let this happen...mud puddle wagon wheeling

A little off road wagon wheeling

Oh and we had to stop and say hello to the bears

Mommy had fun playing, "I'm gonna get ya"

A flower for Mommy

Then of course we had to end at the swings

Words can't describe this moment...
Sweetest thing ever, my favorite picture right now! I love you SO much Ollie J!!!

Music Day

Ollie's Playhouse put together a fun music activity for the kiddos on Thursday. Some nice man came with ukuleles, dulcimers, a guitar and some claves. Very entertaining and fun for the kids to get some hands on play time with each instrument

Ollie is possibly feeling a bit overwhelmed

Or could have been he just wanted to play with the trains

Then he played some tunes on the little piano

Got some time in at the farmers market

Grabbing some asparagus, broccoli and carrots

Disappointed to find out, this in fact is not real corn

Then we finished the morning in the arts and crafts room with some drawing

Side note...when forehead meets gravel road
Ouch! O took a little fall walking down our road. It's kinda his first pretty big boo boo. This picture doesn't really do it justice. He took it a lot better than me, a very brave kiddo we have.

Ollie's Sunday

Ollie what did you do on Sunday?

You went to Valle Crucis Park
Gave the bear carving a little love

You rolled your car up and down the slide, but didn't go down yourself

You pushed your buggy around

Your mom made you try to take some good pictures of you guys together

Then you watched the fish with mom and threw some sticks and leaves into the river

Bye bye fishes, sticks and leaves

Sunday afternoon you stopped off in Blowing Rock to have a little Mexican for lunch
Goldfish taste good dipped in salsa...

Lastly, you and your dad took mom shopping. Which was totally boring for you guys, but mommy thanks you for your patience and her new clothes. No pictures documented this event, because who likes to watch their mom shop?

Grammy Time = Funtime

Ollie does this really cute and funny laughing shout thing when he gets excited.  A few examples of what gets him going are when Dada pulls up in the driveway after work, he'll do it when we go play trains at the playhouse and when we pull up to Grammy's house. I've attempted several times to capture this excitement on video, but of course, failed. Oh don't worry, I'll get it and I will post it.  Anyways, back to Grammy, Ollie knows that her house is full of all these new and exciting toys and games and her house usually has two silly little girls running around. These sweet and silly girls I'm talking about are Penley and Adali, Ollie's cousins. We went over to "Grammy's Fun-world" last week and Ollie had a blast!

The kiddos at the park down by the creek

Looking for rocks to throw

Grammy keeping a good hold onto Ollie :-)

Ollie sees a rock, grabs it, winds up and throws...good job O!

Then back to Grammy's for lunch and to goof off and play with the girls

Need to mention that this is the room of fun! Toys, Toys everywhere!

This was hilarious, a little post lunch wrestle.  Penley and Adali are so sweet to Ollie and they all love playing and hanging out together. It's funny, they still call him Baby Ollie. It's cute though, cause in their eyes, Ollie you'll always be their sweet baby cousin.

Goat Day

Ollie's Playhouse has a bunch of fun activities lined up for this summer. Today they had Meet a Goat Day.  A very nice lady from one of the local farms in the area came by to let everyone meet her two goats and sample some tasty treats from her garden. Aside from the goats, she brought fresh strawberries, beet chips and a variety of grapes. All very tasty!
So here's Ollie meeting the goats...

Giving him some oregano, apparently it's a goat favorite

Yes, goat seems to like it

I like how these goats are looking right at the camera, probably thinking, "really?"

A few of Ollie's buddies checking out things

I'm sure these two goats had names, but I didn't catch those...sorry goats. We did enjoy meeting, feeding and petting you though.

DaDa's Day

We had a very mellow DaDa's day. Ollie calls Gary Alan,"DaDa" hence DaDa's Day.

Ollie painted Gary Alan a picture and got him a new grill brush and new set of tongs

Then my two guys spent the rest of the afternoon goofing round the house and playing with Pungo. Like I said, a very mellow day. This series of pictures shows you just how goofy they are...

I love this...so funny...even Pungo is howling

Ollie loves his DaDa so much

Happy Dada Day Gary Alan! You are such a wonderful father and Ollie and I are so grateful for you and everything you do! We love you bunches and bunches!
